Jay Z’s Roc Nation Signs Angie Martinez

Angie Martinez became the first radio personality to sign with Jay Z’s Roc Nation the management company announced on Twitter today (November 4).

“Roc Nation welcomes multimedia personality @AngieMartinez to the Roc Nation family!” reads the post, which features Martinez wearing a hat with the company’s logo.

This summer, Martinez resigned from Hot 97, where she spent 25 years and interviewed artists including Tupac and Jay Z.

She then joined rival station Power 105.1, where she reportedly will make double the income.

Hov was Martinez’ first guest at Power 105.1 in July and had nothing but praise for her.

Big Sean also joined the Roc Nation management roster recently, telling HipHopDX that Jay Z and his guys “have a lot of the right connections to make things happen.”

    1. She makes a career off being a ‘personality’, except she doesn’t really have any personality. There’s too many mothafuckas in America these days that are famous for no reason.

    2. Lets keep it 100: Even with her experience and all…Angie is one of the most boring radio personality out there #keepit100

    3. i guess it means power 105 is gonna dick ride roc nation artists now. if it increases the radio spins for artists on the label good move
